Q: DO I REALLY NEED TRIPLE PANE GLASS?
A: Not usually. Triple pane windows are designed for areas with prolonged extreme heat or cold. In Southern California, double pane windows should suffice.
Q: CAN NEW CONSTRUCTION WINDOWS BE INSTALLED IN MY OLDER HOME?
A: Yes, it’s possible; however, they are usually not recommended on some applications.
Q: DO MY MEASUREMENTS HAVE TO BE ACCURATE?
A: No, not for the initial estimate. Your windows will be re-measured by your installer before your window order is placed with the manufacturer.
Q: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE BETWEEN THE TIME MY WINDOW ORDER IS PLACED AND THE WINDOWS ARE INSTALLED?
A: Typically, the manufacturing process takes between 1 to 2 weeks from the time you order them. When your custom windows are ready, we will coordinate an installation date that works with your schedule.
Q: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE WINDOWS TO BE INSTALLED?
A: A typical project of up to fifteen windows and one patio door can usually be installed in one or two days.
Q: WILL I LOSE SOME OF THE SPACE AROUND MY WINDOW SILL?
A: Yes. Most windows today have frames which are narrower than newly-made replacement windows because builders often use new construction (low grade) windows on newer homes. Replacement windows, on the other hand, are usually one (1) to one and a half (1.5) inches thicker than new construction windows.
Q: IF NECESSARY, WILL YOU REPLACE WINDOW SILLS AND WRAP WINDOW FACE BOARDS?
A: Yes. Your installer will point out any additional carpentry work needed. The wrapping of window face boards or the replacement of wood sills costs 45.00 to 65.00 per opening.
